Middle School Curriculum

Eastminster offers what very few schools can: outstanding educators committed to students in grades five through eight. Our fifth grade, Lyceum, is dedicated to that year of growth following the childhood years and just before the middle school years. Our Lyceum has expert educators who know how to stimulate the intellectual growth of students in grade five.

The Middle School follows a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum. Courses include math, science, social studies, English, Latin, Spanish, drama, band, art, physical education, and the Junior Great Books program. Lyceum and  Middle School emphasize a balance between academic achievement and a student’s social, physical, and spiritual well-being. Student life is one of camaraderie.

Frequent “Blue-Gold” challenges initiate the spirit of friendly competition. Morning breaks are enjoyed outdoors when weather permits.  Special events such as spirit week  and pep rallies provide additional opportunities for social interaction among the students.

Grades 5-8 at Eastminster provide an atmosphere that is both academic and encouraging. Students in the middle school years experience the growth that comes as they transition from children to young adults.

Experienced, outstanding educators who specialize in middle school education provide Eastminster students academic challenge as well as nurture.
