Band Director.
Mr. Gajownik has been a music educator in the state of Georgia for 34 years. He graduated from the University of Georgia, where he received the Bachelor of Music degree and the Master of Music Education degree. He also completed his Ed.S. Degree in Administration from Lincoln Memorial University.
Mr. Gajownik is the current Georgia Virtual School AP Music Theory instructor and teaches this course on-line. He is also the Director of Educational Projects for Harmony International where he serves as the Executive Artist Director for the Georgia International Honor Band. That group recently performed in London, Paris, and a special July 4th concert at the American Memorial at Omaha Beach in Normandy, France.
Mr. Gajownik is also a marching band and concert band adjudicator and judges band festivals and competitions extensively throughout the southeast. Mr. Gajownik has served in many positions at the district and state levels for the Georgia Music Educators Association. He has also served as trumpet instructor for the Olympic Band in 1996 here in Atlanta. His professional affiliations include GMEA, MENC, PHI MU ALPHA, and PHI BETA MU.
