Lower School
Opportunities for Lower School students include the Lower School Spelling Bee; Lower School Chess Tournament; Georgia Mathematics League 4th Grade Contest; 2010 National Geographic Bee (4th Grade); Duke University Talent Identification program (4th Grade); National Elementary Honor Society; and Presidential Physical Fitness Challenge. Personalized Learning Profiles are developed as a means of adding value to an Eastminster education.
Middle School
Opportunities for Middle School students include the Middle School Chess Tournament; Middle School Scrabble Tournament; Georgia Mathematics League Contest (Grades 5-8); 2010 National Geographic Bee; National Junior Honor Society ; Presidential Physical Fitness Challenge; Latin Certamen; Newspaper; All-Select Middle School Band; Eastminster Singers; and Middle School Spelling Bee. Personalized Learning Plans are developed each Fall and are shared with parents during Fall parent conferences.
Upper School
Opportunities for Upper School students include Debate; Extemporaneous Speaking; Dramatic Oral Interpretation; Humorous Oral Interpretation; Spelling; Personal Essay; Argumentative Essay; One Act Play; All-Select Chorus; All-Select Orchestra; All-Select Band; Boys Quartet; Girls Trio; Vocal Solo; Piano Solo; Eastminster students will be expected to complete one online or distance learning course each year in grades 9-12. The Upper School program uniquely features the liberal arts and serves as a capstone experience in the fulfillment of the school’s mission.
