Student Life

Eastminster School has created a unique school culture which reflects the spirit of the school’s motto as well as both its mission and vision - a particular school culture optimizing focus on the individual student and academic offerings.

  • School-wide activities which benefit the school community include the Winter and Spring music programs, the Heritage Dinner and Town Hall Meeting, and the Fall Festival.
  • Weekly Chapel serves as a means of celebrating the diverse nature of the school community.
  • The Lower, Middle and Upper School Honor Code is the core element of student life.
  • Special events such as the Fall Festival, Middle School Awards Night, Christmas Program, Heritage Dinner, Town Hall Meeting, Eastminster Gala, Owlympics, Blue and Gold Day, Certamen, Kindergarten Graduation, and 5th Grade Lyceum contribute to the unique culture of the school.
  • Student-centered service programs, such as the Heifer Project and the Middle School Community Service Program, focus on visibly serving the local community.
  • Environmental responsibility is promoted through our recycling program.
  • 100% family, Board, and faculty participation in the Annual Fund has been achieved in 2007-2008 and 2008-2009. The 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 Funds will be jointly credited to the school’s first Capital Campaign, the Legacy Campaign for Eastminster School, intended to help secure the long-term future of Eastminster School.
  • The Eastminster Parent Teacher Fellowship (EPTF) enjoys 95% membership of the Eastminster faculty and families. The two main events for the EPTF - the Fall Festival in October and the Gala in March - have been very successful, with the Gala raising over $20,000 in 2010.

My favorite thing about Eastminster is …

The teachers are nice, they do fun stuff, and we have specials.

My favorite special is Art. You can make glass yarn bowls and magnets.

It’s the best school I’ve ever been to!

Mackenzie - 2nd grade

I feel so safe knowing no one will tease or hurt me.

I love everybody here like they are my siblings and I think it is the best school ever.

Andrew - 6th Grade

The teachers are nice and they have a good sports program.
